Balcones Country Club is one of the oldest country clubs in Austin and is nestled around the Upper Bull Creek Preserve near the Balcones Canyonlands.

In 1959, the Balcones Country Club first opened as a nine-hole private golf course.  The back nine was developed in the 1970s and was quickly followed by an additional 18-hole course, the Spicewood Golf Course.  

According to the Balcones Country Club, the private club prides itself on its strong commitment to history, tradition and family values. The Balcones course features 6,360 yards of golf on lovely Bermuda grass.  It boasts being a par 70 course, rated as a 69.9 and has a slope rating of 114. In additional to the acclaimed golf facilites, the club offers 10 tennis courts, elegant banquet facilities and a very socially active clubhouse.
